Sustainability
Foreword by the Management
AGOFORM is an owner-managed, medium-sized family business. We think not in terms of reporting cycles, but in terms of generations, customer relationships, and industrial substance. Consequently, sustainability and employee welfare are not merely peripheral topics for us; they are integral to our core values of responsible corporate management: economic viability, social reliability, and ecological sustainability. We use our resources sparingly—both for economic reasons and out of a sense of responsibility toward future generations. Our independence from capital markets and our strong equity base offer stakeholders—both within and outside the company—long-term security and a reliable planning horizon.
As a plastics processor, we operate in an industry that faces critical scrutiny from some quarters, yet simultaneously enables indispensable solutions for durable, functional, and high-quality products. Our aim is to harness the potential of this material responsibly: through long-lasting products, efficient processes, closed-loop internal cycles, reduced material usage, and the gradual incorporation of suitable recycled materials.
We are voluntarily reporting in accordance with the VSME standard—the reporting framework recommended by the EU for small and medium-sized enterprises. In doing so, we aim to create transparency for customers, employees, banks, rating agencies, suppliers, and the general public. Our focus is not on glossy communications or an overwhelming volume of data, but rather on reliable metrics, transparent decision-making, and tangible improvements. Accordingly, this report highlights not only what we have achieved but also identifies our key areas of leverage, our limitations, and our upcoming tasks and objectives. We bridge the gap between a review of the past, current performance indicators, and an outlook for the years ahead.
With this inaugural sustainability report, we demonstrate our long-standing commitment to sustainability by showcasing selected decisions and investments made since 2019. We are convinced that sustainability in the SME sector is only truly sustainable in the long term if it remains economically sound, technically feasible, and organizationally manageable. We therefore prioritize measures based on their impact, the extent to which we can influence them, and their feasibility. Where we bear direct responsibility, we take decisive action; where solutions require collaboration with customers or suppliers—or depend on changing regulatory frameworks—we seek dialogue. For us, this inaugural sustainability report is not an endpoint, but a management tool. It highlights the benchmarks by which we wish to be measured: long-term stability, efficient resource use, safe and high-quality jobs, clear governance, and continuous improvement.

Foaming Technology
Sustainability is more than just a commitment for AGOFORM:
Our aim is to use resources responsibly, reduce emissions and leave behind an environment worth living in for future generations.
As part of a comprehensive innovation project aimed at improving sustainability, we have specifically further developed our extrusion process. The aim was to significantly increase resource efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint our products – without compromising on quality, functionality or our product range.
To this end, we have expanded our extrusion line to include a melt filter and foaming technology.
The result: more sustainable products, greater resource efficiency and another step forward on our journey towards responsible plastics processing.
